Below you will find important information regarding pricing, payment, and policies.

Price

All tours are private and customized based on your preferences.

  • 2h tours-from 25000 yen
  • ６h tours-from 47000 yen
  • 8h tours-from 61000 yen
  • 9h tours-from 66000 yen
  • 10h tours-from 75000 yen
  • 11h tours-from 85000 yen

Additional Fees:

・Adults(Ages 12+):+6000 yen per person

・Children (Ages 6-11):+3000 yen per person

・Infants (Ages 0-5):Free of charge (Not included in the 4-person group count)

 

Booking & Arrangement Fees for Third-Party Services:

  • For third-party arrangements requested by the guest (such as private car/heire services, traditional workshop bookings, or special experiences), an arrangement fee of 10% to 15% of the total service cost will be added to the invoice.

Final pricing may vary depending on group size, location, and specific requests (The price shown above is for up to a group of 4 persons.

Transportation, entrance fees,  meals for the gusts/guide and tips are not included unless stated.

Payment

Payment Method

Payment can be made by:

– Cash (Japanese Yen) 
– Online payment (credit card/wise)

Details will be arranged after booking confirmation.

Payment Terms

  • An invoice will be sent by email within 24 hours of your booking request.
  • Payment is required within 7 days of receiving the invoice.
  • For bookings made within one month of the tour date, payment must be completed within 48 hours of receiving the invoice.
  • A 50% deposit or full payment is required in advance to confirm your booking.
  • If a deposit is paid, the remaining balance can be paid in cash on the day of the tour.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be notified in writing (via email) and are based on Japan Standard Time (JST).

1. Regular Season (Standard Policy)

  • Up to 14 days before the tour: Free cancellation (100% refund)
  • 13 days to 1 day before the tour: 50% cancellation fee
  • On the day of the tour / No-show: 100% cancellation fee

2. Peak Season Policy (March–May, October–November)

  • Up to 30 days before the tour: Free cancellation (100% refund)

  • 29 days to 1 day before the tour: 50% cancellation fee

  • On the day of the tour / No-show: 100% cancellation fee

3. Cancellations by Kyoto Insight Tours

In the rare event that we must cancel the tour due to severe weather, guide illness, or unexpected situations:

  • You will receive a full refund (including transaction fees) within 14 days, OR
  • You may opt to reschedule the tour to an alternative date, subject to availability.

Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
